  • How much protein is too much?

      If I eat 1.5 grams per pound, is that too much? Is it a waste? Could it be turned into fat? I'm trying to build muscle

      How much protein is too much?

      It's not necessary to consume that much protein, but there's no need to reduce your protein intake if you simply enjoy consuming protein rich foods.

      How much protein is too much?

      If I reduce it an turn some of those calories into carbs, would that be optimal for muscle growth? If its not needed what happens to the extra protein?

      It doesn't matter. Optimize for personal preference.

      How much protein is too much?

      My personal preference is building muscle. I actually brought my protein down. I'm 150 pounds and I eat about 190 grams of protein per day. Is that too much or good for building muscle

      If you have a single gram of 135 grams of protein, you'll lose all your muscles and your hair will turn gray (if you have hair. I have no personal knowledge of your fur status).

      I don't want to waste anything. I need to know if eating 180-190 grams is a waste of calories if im 150 pounds.

      OP you're 19, you really should focus on building LBM and eating what you want. I suspect it would be difficult for you to NOT get enough of everything you need nutritionally speaking with the exception of adequate micro nutrients. So eat your fruits and vegetables and lift hard and heavy. (Almost like Grandma's advice)!
