Eating roughly the same meals each day can make a diet much easier to manage. You already know the calories and protein, shopping becomes straightforward, and there is less temptation to grab whatever is convenient.

The obvious drawback is boredom. A simple routine of eggs, chicken, rice, vegetables and yoghurt might work well on paper, but eating it every day could eventually make the whole diet harder to maintain. It also raises the question of whether relying on a small selection of foods provides enough variety.

Do you tend to repeat the same meals during the week, or do you need plenty of choice to stay on track?

If you meal prep, how many different meals do you normally make at once? Has keeping food simple improved your results, or did you eventually become so bored that you abandoned the plan altogether?
