Where do you personally draw the line @Kris/Kristina - when is it too much?

 

For me when a female lifter has obviously started achieving unrealistic physical looks, i.e. she has arms & thighs like a man AND/OR her face changes appearance.

 

I think there's a big difference between someone who's training hard to build a strong, athletic physique and someone who's aiming for the extreme end of competitive bodybuilding.

Some women who lift seriously look incredibly toned, fit and healthy, and that's a look a lot of people admire. Once it gets to the point where the physique is being pushed to the absolute limit for competition, it's not really my personal preference anymore, but I can still appreciate the dedication it takes.

At the end of the day, it's all down to personal taste, and bodybuilding isn't the same as training for general fitness.

 

It's really interesting to see the evolution of these different categories. Cydney Gillon is definitely a standout for many because she maintains such a polished, aesthetic look while remaining dominant in the Figure division.
