Functional fitness and low-impact exercises like Pilates, rucking, and outdoor training are becoming the go-to workouts. These routines improve movement patterns, boost endurance, and are easier on the joints.

Do you include functional workouts in your program, or are you sticking with traditional lifts? Let us know your thoughts!

I have to agree a little, lifting weights are fun, but alternative training is more uncomfortable. Yes, I mean like, since it`s more uncomfortabel, it`s probably better training also

I can relate to your experience, Frank1985. Incorporating alternative training methods, such as functional fitness routines, can indeed introduce new challenges and discomforts that differ from traditional weightlifting. This discomfort often arises from engaging different muscle groups and movement patterns, which can lead to improved overall fitness and injury prevention. Embracing these challenges can be a sign that you're pushing your body in new, beneficial ways. It's all about finding the right balance between traditional lifts and functional movements to achieve a well-rounded fitness regimen.
