We are 2 weeks into the new year now and your training and healthy diet you have promised yourself might now be starting to feel a bit daunting and maybe boring. Dont worry this is normal! If you are at that stage try to change things round a little.

For example if you have been doing gym work maybe try a and do a class to spice your training up or if you have been using your exercise bike at home then try going swimming to change it up. Variety is what will keep you fresh and motivated.

With your new diet, try a few different recipes to change your food round. Remember looking good and staying healthy requires work, stick at it and those around you saying why are you doing it will in summer be asking how you did it!

Stay motivated and you have the additional bonus of asking for expert advice from qualified health and fitness professionals on the forum! So get the questions coming in however daft you may think they are there will be many thanking you for asking it.

What are you waiting for? Be inspired keep going and ask away if you need any fitness or nutrition advise.

      Good luck
      Tom

      Thanks Tom

I think the idea of switching your fitness routines and changing your diet will help a lot of people stay motivated. Is there a certain length of time which is make or break regarding motivation. If for example you get over the 3 month hurdle, does it get easier?

It is recommended that every 6 weeks of intense training that you take a week break, in reality alot of people dont realy do this and then fall into over training.
If your rest and nutrition is on track you should get results.
As far as motivation go you need to find what realy inspires you, goals usually help with this like an event coming up or a holiday but when it comes down to it you should be you be your own ispiration,
I believe if your training is getting easy no matter how far you progress then your not training hard enough, always look to progress, this gets results.
Have a goal, stick to it, when your losing motivation change your training around, dont just give up.
      Believe and achieve.
