I don't think eating butter all the time is very healthy. As we know, butter is made from cream. It is high in saturated fat, and has relatively high levels of cholesterol. Many studies proved that high consumption of it is associated with higher levels of "bad" cholesterol and causes heart disease. Do you know about any healthier substitutes for butter?

I Know the best.. No butter at all :D

what do you use it for? Bread? Sandwhiches? Mashed Potatoes?

For mashed potatoes I have this thing called Molly McButter Naturally flavored butter powder
Its just a powder that gives a butter flavor, My girlfriend uses it I don't

Try eating your sandwiches without buttering your bread. Its so good :)
I don't use it for anything honestly I would be able to go the rest of my life without it

Look at your grocery store maybe in the spice section cause thats what the bottle looks like and see if there is any butter substitute there. if not isnt there "I can't believe its not butter"

Idk how healthy that is but thats a substitute too

My mother used to use margarine all the time when we found out my step dad was diabetic. I would say that I didn't really notice the difference but I did only by a fraction. She also used "I cant believe its not butter" and that tasted like butter to me lol.

I use coconut oil instead of butter, but it might not be suitable for everything you use butter on. But I just don't use any butter or substitutes. I actually find I don't even miss it anymore. For example, on sandwiches you can just use mustard or avocado.

Is there a downside to margarine? I use margarine. And I have to say I like it almost as much as butter. I have been told it is better. I guess it would be even better if I didn't use it at all but that is a step I have not taken yet.
