I can't lie and say I wouldn't like to eat a big bowl of cereal every morning, I do like cereal but I wont eat it because I know it is very bad for you. On Christmas day I plan to eat a big bowl of Jordan's Country Crisp, my favourite cereal.

I didn't know that cereal was very bad for you? Are you just talking about the stuff covered in sugar? Or ALL cereal?

I cut down a lot of eating cereal a lot. I used to eat like 3 to 4 bowls a day. But now I don't eat them at all anymore. I'm trying to lose weight, so I don't think cereal is the best approach on taking the weight loss step.

All cereal. Cereal contains hardly any nutrients, it quickly converts to sugar in the body and it contains anti-nutrients like phytic acid, gluten and lectins. Grains were introduced recently in human evolution, around 10,000 years ago, precisely the time our health significantly declined.

I was told by health and medicine people that whole grains were good. I went to whole grains, dropped white bread and rolls almost totally. Not that much of a cereal person though. I got told I should eat regularly and not skip breakfast, so I usually go with whole grain bread or roll, OJ and coffee.
Eating right well I am working at it anyway.

I am also a huge fan of cereal but I try to stay away from the food colored ones and ones that have a lot of sugar.
I eat the very plain cheerios cereal because it is whole wheat and I don't feel like I am ruining my health when I have it. I usually add a bit of blue berries and some dried cranberries to the mix to get some more nutrients. I think there is nothing wrong with eating cereal but then again everything should be consumed in moderation.
