Most of us are probably addicted to caffeine. Here's an interesting article of this stimulant: http://brown.edu/Student_Services/H...tion/nutrition_&_eating_concerns/caffeine.php
My dad is addicted to coffee, he drinks 7 cups per day on average. Coffee has many health benefits according to various studies but it's not healthy to rely on a stimulant like my dad does. I drink black coffee sparingly, 2 to 3 times per week.
I use to be addicted to coke and coffee a few years back. I used to drink 4 cups a day at work plus the coke I drunk at lunch time. To be honest it was really bad on my part. I always had trouble sleep because of it.
The only caffeine I take in daily is from my pre-workout. Roughly 200mgs. I dont like soda and not a fan of coffee so that helps
Coffee is the only thing that keeps me functioning. I have sometimes 32oz a day to get me through my work day. Sad I know.
You have a problem if you need coffee to function. Coffee is a stimulant, a drug, needing it to function is a very bad sign. You probably don't need it, what you do need is to come off it to see how your body copes.
I'm not addicted to caffeine, I stick to drinking Green tea mostly and go days without coffee without any problems.
I actually got quite addicted to caffeine in college. I got into a horrible habit of drinking diet Rockstars everyday. When I wouldn't have one I would shake and get terrible headaches. Therefore, I had to cut it out for a while. Now I just stick to one black coffee per day and then switch to green or herbal tea.
Never really got into that Red Bull and Rockstar stuff. I tried it when I was working overnight shift and inevitably found that bang for the buck I was just better off with my thermos of black coffee. Some of the guys I worked with just swore by it but I didn't find that much more of a boost over my black coffee. I also heard it can take a toll, at least on some people. Ryder13
I like drinking Red Bull and vodka when I was a teenager. Red Bull made the vodka drinkable and the combination of caffeine with alcohol was quite potent for a teenager experimenting with alcohol. Not something I would recommend of course .
