I was told that taking BCAA and Glutamine together is ok, but what about Arginine? Will it work? I've read that Arginine is some super amino acid and it's great for regeneration, gaining weight and improving stamina. What is your opinion?
Personally, I don't bother with the BCAA's or Arginine. My protein comes from animals, eggs and fish. Animal protein contains a full range of amino acids, all you need to build muscle. I do supplement with L-Glutamine, though, because it aids recovery and it also strengthens the lining of the gut which is very important for general health.
The main reason people supplement Arginine is because it is a precursor for the synthesis of nitric oxide. Its found mainly in pre-workout supplements and helps you get the "pump" Basically it helps your blood vessels dilate therefor increasing the amount of blood and therefor the amount of oxygen and nutrients being transported to your cells. I personally recommend taking it. Bunny
I've never had a problem gaining a pump without using any pre-workout supplements. The pump is good but it is not a prerequisite for DOMS. You don't need an insane pump every time you workout, so long as you are progressing in your training.
I Only take Glutamine, never BCAA or Arginine, so I wouldn't really know.. Been taking Xtend for a while for my recovery and find that it works amazing.
