I have started the "Doug's 6 Day Cutting Routine" (can't post the link because I don't have enough posts, but it's the first link on google), and have been noticing changes in my body appearance and my ability to lift heavier weights. However, instead of doing 2 hours of low-intensity cardio everyday, I do 10 minutes of high-intensity cardio before my workout with weights. Is this a good way of cutting down fat and turning it to muscle (I have been keeping my weight at about 175 pounds (I am 6'1")).

the link doesn't mention a thing about cutting calories, which is the single MOST IMPORTANT factor in weight loss.

      The routine is:

Day 1 - Chest, Triceps, Abdominals
Day 2 - Back and Biceps
Day 3 - Legs, shoulders, abdominals
      Day 4 - Rest
Day 5 - Chest, Triceps, Abdominals
Day 6 - Back and Biceps
Day 7 - Legs, shoulders, abdominals

Along with 2 hours of low intensity cardio every day. However, because of time constraints, I instead do 10 minutes of high intensity cardio before starting up particular days' workout.

Should've clarified what I wanted to achieve in the original post..Don't want to lose weight, but to turn fat into muscle (thus the reason why I have kept my weight at 175 pounds throughout this routine).

Just wondering if high intensity cardio is a good alternative to 2 hours of low intensity cardio. I have read that overdoing high intensity cardio could lead to a loss in muscle mass

I personally think it sucks. Fat does not turn into muscle. You can loose fat, you can build muscle, but it is VERY hard to do both. If you are new to training you can do both at once for a short while but after that you need to concentrate of one goal or the other. As for the workout, it's too much. 6 days a week lifting and 6 days a week cardio!?!? Talk about overkill. If you have enhanced recovery because you juice, sure lift 6 days a week. For us natural guys, I prefer to stick to 3-4 days lifting. 5 being MAX and I would only consider it if I was bulking. More does not equal better or faster results when it comes to resistance training. As long as you are progressing in weights and working you tail off in the gym 3 or 4 days a week is plenty. If I was you I would pick one goal, fat loss or muscle building and do a proven program like starting strength or allpro's if you are new to lifting or something like Wendler's 5-3-1 or WSFSB if you are not a newbie. The program you linked is listed as an "advanced" program". An advanced lifter should be able to bench 1.5 x bodyweight, squat 2 x bodyweight, and deadlift 2.5 x bodyweight. Doing a program designed for advanced lifters is not optimal for a beginner or intermediate lifter.

pretty much what other's are saying.

this routine is ****, go with a better one with strength focus since you are just starting out.

      also count your calories.

you can't magically turn fat into muscle. you can lose fat and then build muscle, which still boils down to counting calories and macros. read the stickies.

Thanks for the help guys. New to this, but I will definitely catch up on the stickies and check out the stuff Vismal's mentioned.

A bit surprised at the backlash at the routine, thought it was a good one by the amount of people complementing it on that website

it's just way too much cardio. also your abs are like any muscle group, so why work them out so many days?
