      Hey everyone,

      I’ve been reading a lot about how certain foods can negatively impact testosterone levels, especially as we age. With 2025 just around the corner, I’m curious which specific foods are the worst offenders and why.

      Are there new studies or expert recommendations on which items to completely avoid to maintain healthy testosterone?

      For example, I’ve heard that processed sugars and soy products might be harmful, but I’m not sure what else is on the list.

      Can anyone share a detailed list or personal experiences cutting these foods out successfully?

      I’ve looked into this quite a bit too, and you’re right – sugar and soy often get called out, but there are a few other foods that can drag testosterone down:
      • Processed sugars and refined carbs – they hit insulin hard and over time can really lower T.
      • Trans fats/cheap oils – most fried or fast foods fall into this category and are bad for hormone balance.
      • Heavy alcohol intake – one of the fastest ways to tank testosterone if it’s regular.
      • Excess soy/flax – small amounts are fine, but big doses of phytoestrogens can be an issue.
      • Processed meats – not just unhealthy in general, but the additives and preservatives don’t do hormones any favours.
      On the positive side, I’ve noticed better energy and recovery since cutting back on sugar and booze. Whole foods, healthy fats (such as avocado, olive oil, and nuts), plus zinc-rich foods like red meat and pumpkin seeds, seem to support the other way.
