I really cannot get enough of southern fried chicken, im not remotely ****d about calories + fat etc in the coating. Im just interested if anyone knows a good way including recipe for coating chicken breasts. The only reason I want to do this is because most of the southern fried chicken you buy in supermarkets out of the fridge/freezer sections are such awful, sorry excuses for chicken, that id rather make my own. So, anyone got any recipes + tips for making a good coating/rub for chicken breasts to make them 'southern fried'. I dont actually southern fry them myself, I just cook them in the oven, but im pretty sure you get the idea of the style of chicken. Thanks Shaun
Southern fried chicken Wholemeal flour Paprika Garlic Black pepper Salt If I remember thats what I used to use and it was similar to KFC

Southern fried chicken You can mix it into a paste with egg than coat the chicken for a thick coating Or you could also just dry rub it, but I preferred the paste
Southern fried chicken Mix season all and flour together. Dip your chicken in egg then into the flour/season all mix. I shallow fry chicken quickly on both sides before transferring them to the oven. Much healthier way to get a fried chicken taste. Proper nice. Just don't use too much season all coz it's salty as fook.
Southern fried chicken I normally use this ImageUploadedByTapatalk1335376829.364027.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1335376849.615360.jpg Heaped Tablespoon of jerk for the kick, mix it with the tex seasoning, then dip the chicken in either milk or eggs then finish them off in the seasoning mixture, i prefer them bbq'd or in the oven but im sure you can fry them too.. Bluddclart beautiful!!
