So I am on a cutting diet, consuming 1800 cals 40pro/40carb/20fat throughout 6 meals. but I have not been counting my pwo shake as a meal... should I cut out my pwo shake completely and just eat a regular meal after my workouts? it's the final 3 weeks of my cutting phase and I'm trying to lose 7 more pounds of bf.

      I suggest you read:

      http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...hp?t=136691851
      http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...hp?t=123915821

      Cliffs:
#1 Figure out TDEE (maintenance), eat 110-120% of this in order to gain weight, eat 80-90% to lose weight.
#2 Figure out macro- (and micronutrient) needs
#3 Meal timing is irrelevant, hitting your needs for the day (#2) is vastly more important
#4 Eat whatever you like, as long as it fits your daily caloric intake, in addition to hitting your nutritional needs (#2).

Nice attitude. First of all, 40+40+10= 90. That's what people have been trying to point out.

Beyond that, of course you have to count the calories from your shakes. Whether to continue having them is up to you based on where you are with your macros.

I was under the impression that I already did. Or did you read the stickies in less than one minute?

yes I read them before... I was just asking if a PWO shake is necessary, if I could just eat a solid meal instead.
