Ive always trained in the afternoon between 4 & 5pm, its becoming a bit of a hassle and theres a new gym thats opened that opens at 6:30am instead of 10am (my gym) Im thinking about joining this new gym and taking advantage of the early starts and getting there for 7am. Only thing worrying me is - will I be weak as Ive not ate any food as by normally 5pm I have had most of my day time meals and im all energised up. What times do you train and what times do you think are best ?
Best Time of day to Train? Early Starters??? Some of my biggest lifts were done at 7.00am. Just take a bcaa and carb drink and sip whilst training. You should be using energy from the day before anyway. A lot of it is mental. You have the energy there to use.
Best Time of day to Train? Early Starters??? I train in the morning after 9 after Iv done the school run, so if I die during the day atleast I got my workout in first
Best Time of day to Train? Early Starters??? You will probably feel a little odd for a week or so then your body will adapt and all will be fine.
Best Time of day to Train? Early Starters??? ive just started training at 6.30 or 7.30am instead of after work, so much prefer it.
Best Time of day to Train? Early Starters??? I prefer training in the morning then i can arrange my work after i finish, though if i had a decent home gym i'd train in the evening...
Best Time of day to Train? Early Starters??? I changed a while back from 5-6pm to 07:30-08:00 and made my best gains that early in the morning. Couldn't lift for shlt at first though, took a while to be able to lift my normal amount, but shot past where i was training later in the day. I now train about 10am.
Best Time of day to Train? Early Starters??? Good to hear! Looks like I will be moving gyms then & Training at 7am.. !!
Best Time of day to Train? Early Starters??? When I first started training early mornings, I was really worried about not having the food in me & so on. Admittedly it took a bit of getting used to. The first time, your body is giving it "what the fcuk are you doing - I don't do this sh1t before breakfast", but after a few workouts it's all fine. Nowadays I train at home. If I'm working I train after work, but at weekends I always train before breakfast. Don't notice any difference whatsoever in energy levels or strength on weights, but notice that cardio is much more comfortable on an empty stomach. I don't even bother with carb drinks or BCAA's. A cup of tea & I'm ready for anything.
