Just got back from getting my TRT injection. As usual the nurse - who is very good by the way - jabs my glutes with 1000mg of test decanoate without aspirating. Afterwards I asked her why don't health care professionals ever aspirate. She said that years and years ago they were instructed to aspirate but that new instructions came out that it was no longer deemed necessary. She said the reasoning behind this was that the likelihood of hitting a vein in the sites used for injections was that remote that it was no longer thought of as a risk at all. She also said that even if a vein was hit the effects would be far less serious than people would imagine. I know people have strong and varied views on this. Just passing on what she told me....
Aspirate: Yea or Nay. A nurses view. hmmm interesting , one handed lat jabs it is then. thanks for that
Aspirate: Yea or Nay. A nurses view. Out of all the jabs I've done I've probably aspirated about 4 times, mainly due to forgetting lol
Aspirate: Yea or Nay. A nurses view. Personally they might not see it as a risk anymore but i would rather be safe and do it everytime anyway especially as it only takes a second or 2.
Aspirate: Yea or Nay. A nurses view. I agree, but many of the guys that use steroids on here don't even know where/how to inject properly and are certainly not health professionals who have done thousands of injections so i would advise they all aspirate.
Aspirate: Yea or Nay. A nurses view. Good point. There's lots of people on here asking the question 'why don't doctors and nurses aspirate' so I thought I would ask one and pass on what they said. No advice is offered.
Aspirate: Yea or Nay. A nurses view. what would the effects be? from the nurses mouth or didnt you ask?
Aspirate: Yea or Nay. A nurses view. An adrenaline type rush, dizziness, coughing etc. All unpleasant but short lasting. She said that she'd given countless injections - has been a nurse over 20 years - and has never seen it happen herself.
