Ok so any of you financial market traders, or people with an interest in the markets will of seen all the Hype about 23 year old fresh faced financial trader Alex Hope dropping £203,948.80 on a bar tab in the Hilton Liverpool's club 'Playground'. Anyway for those that don't know him, 3 years ago he was serving food as a catering manager at wemberly stadium, since then he has become a self taught trader and made many millions. People do become successful traders, of course they do but after him having the most expensive bar tab in history he is now under investigation for financial fraud and the authorities seem to have reason to believe he has been up to mischief. Below is the story of Alex with pics of him and the tab and the story of him being investigated for fraud. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...=feeds-newsxml The police have proven nothing yet, but what do you think? Fraud or just raw talent and skills? People on the trading scene have said that if it was not fraud he's set to be one of the wealthiest men on earth.
Alex Hope - Was it fraud or not? Sounds like a kid who's got what he wanted. The SFO IMO are acting upon grassers who are jelous of what he's done.
Alex Hope - Was it fraud or not? he daytrades millions yet spends all his spare time teaching people for (what would be to a millionaire day trader) a total pittance? Another self aggrandising conman.
Alex Hope - Was it fraud or not? I'm inclined to think the self, people do make it like that, i know traders who have but from £21k per year to spending 10x that in a night, no wonder he's under investigation
Alex Hope - Was it fraud or not? What are you talking about? The guys done so well and people are giving him **** it's not right
Alex Hope - Was it fraud or not? you obviously haven't got a clue. if he's investing millions of his own money he'd not be teaching trading seminars on weekends.
Alex Hope - Was it fraud or not? Some people genuinely like to help other people learn to trade, if he's already made then why not give a little back From what i gather access to his online blog was actually free, but the FSA have took the site down for now
