I won't ask for what in case it's personal (unless you want to share), but do you feel similarly with my friend? Is it holding you back from enjoying your life to a fuller degree?

i think anyone should be able to do anything with their own bodies. the caveat is as you mentioned; if she thinks this sort of thing is going to fix her, she's way off base. as soon as it's fixed, she will focus on another small thing that bothers her and only if she could get this one more little thing corrected, THEN she could finally be happy.

and with an endless flow of cash could end up a walking disaster.

but if she's already happy and lives her life without self-doubt etc, and just thinks she'd like looking at her face more if this one thing were done, then she's a good candidate for plastic sx. IMO

When you say it like that, if it's going to have such a positive effect on her and remove that depression from her life then I wouldn't judge her at all.

I know so many girls who have had things done whether it be their nose, lips or teddies and their life has done a 180.. they became the life of the party so to speak, confidence through the roof, a new outlook on life. But as long as she is doing it for the right reasons because those girls I know now think they are bunnies of the playboy mansion and it's such a turn off knowing how they used to be compared to now..

We only read about botched and excessive procedures, but cosmetic alterations are pretty common in the U.S. and we can assume most of them are discrete and successful.

That's what I told her, and she said she understands that. She's pretty set in other portions of her life (has a nice career path, independent, smart) and likes everything else about her body. The line between getting one done and many is thin, though.

For someone else, it depends. If it's for a birth defect, then I'd be ok with it. I wouldn't agree with some other things.

So from seeing them enjoy themselves at social functions, you think they think they're Playboy mansion bunnies? Or did you actually talk to some and inhale stank attitudes? There isn't anything wrong with enjoying oneself at social functions; my friend usually is the reserved one and shies away from interactions. Tbh, that's a ****ty situation to be in.

I think a lot of people get one or two procedures and don't fall into the trap of constantly trying to improve themselves. In most cases you would never know they have had surgery.

I'll give examples,

This girl Lilita was your average above weight girl, I was always close with her (not like that), she had confidence but wasn't the type to walk around half naked. She got her boobs and lips done over in Spain, came back and tried becoming a model, failed because she was still a little pudgy, so she had lipo and took every drug under the sun to lose weight now she looks anorexic and walks around like shes Gods gift to men.. she left her BF she was with for 8 years because he saw her change from this normal reserved girl to this attention seeking wh0re and no I don't speak to her anymore..

This other girl Kiralee, (google Kiki Morris) was your typo blonde hair blue eyed Aussie.. with a flat chest, I knew her friend and was introduced to her she was shy didn't go out much was a family girl.. got her boobs done (not sure what else) now she thinks she is Gods gift to men AND women, been in some mens magazines (not nude) tv commercials etc, she was so down to earth then after all this new attention her teddies got her she went wild, partying every week, hooking up with different guys and has a bad rep around Sydney now.

There's a difference between enjoying yourself at a social function and flaunting around ur "acquisitions" acting like you're the sexiest woman alive at a party.
