I was reading an article recently about athletes staying competitive well into their 40s. It talked about recovery tools, sports science and all the latest technology, but one point really stood out.

The experts kept coming back to the same basics: train consistently, eat well, sleep properly and recover enough. Everything else was described as more of a bonus than a necessity.

It made me wonder if social media has made fitness seem far more complicated than it really is.

Every week there's a new supplement, recovery gadget or training method that's supposedly a game changer.

Meanwhile, plenty of people who make great progress are just turning up, lifting consistently and eating enough protein.

What's the biggest thing you've stopped worrying about as you've gained more experience?

I think experience teaches you what actually moves the needle.

When I first started, I spent far too much time researching the "perfect" routine instead of just training consistently.

Now I'm much more interested in whether I can stick to something for six months than whether it's the latest trend.

Curious to hear what everyone else has dropped from their routine over the years. Was there anything you thought was essential that you barely think about now?
