I’ve been lifting naturally for years, and I’ll be honest: Sometimes, the plateaus are brutal. You train hard, eat right… and progress still crawls.

For the natty crowd - what’s been the toughest part of your journey?

Motivation? Comparing yourself to enhanced lifters? Recovery?

I’m not anti-steroid at all, just curious how others push through those rough patches.

Really interesting thread - appreciate you bringing this up!

As someone still early in their lifting journey, I already notice how tough it can be to stay patient when results don’t come quickly. It’s definitely tempting to compare yourself to people making faster gains, even though you know the playing field isn’t level.

For me, the hardest part is staying motivated when progress slows. I’ve been trying to shift focus toward other wins, like better form, improved endurance, or just feeling stronger in everyday life.

Would love to hear from more experienced lifters on this - how do you stay consistent during those long plateau phases?
