Why do so many people use egg whites instead of whole eggs? I get the cholesterol but I'm only 15. I don't need to worry about that yet. Other than that though, why do people use egg whites? And, if I eat 3 whole eggs, is that ok? They're organic too.

Egg whites = high in protein, that's all they want the protein

Eat the whole damn egg! Can't imagine eating an egg without the yolk - the white taste like sh3t anyway

It's because of the high quality protein derived from egg whites, the yolk contains fats. Most bodybuilders like the amount of protein consumed, without hindering their fat macros for the day. Sure, if it fits your macros(IIFYM) feel free to devour whole eggs, but this is a simple explanation behind it.

      Since you are 15..

Well i am 14, my eating plan is fine and i do 11 whites per day. 2 of them are full eggs. You dont need much more than 2/3 yolks.

Wait... How much there's fat in one yolk?
I've thought that it has like 10g but really, is it something between 3-5g?

The yolk makes up about 33% of the liquid weight of the egg; it contains approximately 60 calories, three times the caloric content of the egg white.
The yolk of one large egg (50 g total, 17 g yolk) contains approximately: 2.7 g protein, 210 mg cholesterol, 0.61 g carbohydrates, and 4.51 g total fat. (USDA National Nutrient Database)

I always eat the yolk, there are starving people around the world.

What, you believe the cholesterol is unhealthy for you? That is incorrect sir. Dietary cholesterol has no effect on blood serum cholesterol. The yolk has most of the nutritional components of the egg, healthy fats and full of vitamins and minerals. The reason most people eat egg whites is because they're a very low calorie protein dense food.
