For those of you in plateaus or just trying to push your personal records higher, all you need is motivation if you're doing everything else pretty much right.

From January to Mid-March, my bench press rose only from 170 to 180. Now this upset me, because all my other lifts went up quite a bit more. My deadlift went up 75 pounds and i was like, "What the heck! My bench isn't going up. So, for the past month, i pushed myself to the limit. Listened to good motivational songs every day, pushed myself to eat more, and worked harder than i ever have in the weight room.

Since Mid March, my bench leaped from 180 to 200. Along with that i went from 160 to 165 pounds in body weight, which was also stalled for a few weeks.

So to all you guys who are struggling and feel as though you're doing all you can, just take yourself to another level. You definitely can if i did!

Without motivation, why would we even be lifting?

Your diet was in check, that is why your bench went up.

Motivation should be second nature to anyone who wants to be a champion bottom line. No excuses.

      ^

Comps is brutally honest, which I admire at times.

I don't help raise peoples' egos.
When I posted pics and asked for a critique, only 2 people gave me one out of 50+.
      Pissed me the f*** off.
Just tell me what I'm doing wrong and help me out.
I don't need to hear that "I'm doing good" repetitively to raise my ****ing ego.

      /rant, I love you all.

frankly, i didn't post this for an ego boost if that's what you thought. I just know from reading a lot of other threads that there's a good amount of people who are struggling and i decided to give some advice. I don't even know why i would want to brag, 200 really isn't all that much. I appreciate your honesty though, not enough of it on this site.
