      Hello guys

Quick question, is an apple any bad when following strict diet (low carbs except for morning cereals and post workout training: 2 bananas).. around 6pm/6:15 or even 7pm latest ?

      Cheers,

If you don't mind the extra few carbs then knock yourself out.

Well it's not really bad as such.

But for me at the moment i am trying to cut out as much sugar from my diet as possible as i want to get shredded in the least amount of time.

1 medium apple has about 13-14 g of sugar so for me this would be bad.

But as i said i have no sugar at the moment. Only sugar i would have are the small amounts in oats and natural peanut butter etc For PWO even i have vitargo which has no sugar!

So basically here's my real issue:

Am around and under 8% as u read my Journal, would this apple cause to slow down any progress toward achieving 6/7 % BF ?

Apples although they contain sugar, it is fructose which is absorbed slower than glucose which is good for a diet/cut. Apples have a GI of 38 which is pretty low and will leave your blood sugar levels pretty stable and not cause a spike in insulin. Make sure you eat the skin as the fibre in it is what keeps the GI low.
In other words, have an apple if you want!!

Eat it if you can spare the calories, don't if you can't. Simples.
