how does steriod users deaths effect your mindset if at all?

Over the years I have been in the company of someone and was introduced to them they were a known user of aas. They were certainly using aas for over 10 years if not longer.

I have just heard that the person had passed away and they are in there 30's. Although that person was no more than someone I had only spoken to briefly and not a freind I still find the news shocking.

From what I understand heartattack was the cause of death.

Before people say he may have had a unknown heart condition sure he may have but this is highly unlikely.

The point of the thread was to see if this makes you question things more, lower dosages, stop using, carry on regardless etc?

Don't bother me at all. Until steroids are categorically proven to be the cause of death I won't change my habits

Well he obviously had a unknown heart condition if he died of a heart attack.....people with healthy hearts don't just die of heart attacks man..sounds like aas may be the cause though?

It doesn't put me off, yet anyway.

I believe the answer is the increased muscle mass puts extra strain on the heart and leads to problems.

Man thats bull, steroids can turn a healthy heart into a bad one. As for teh answer to the OP, it freaks me out TBH and has made me make teh decession never to take massive amounts of gear. I also know alot of young people who take gear who have died with heart attacks and honestly dont know anyone young who has died with one.

I suppose it's the risk you take :l is the risk of death worth it?

I think the risk of intertility/erectile dysfunction scares me way more than death

I must admit when i see some of my mates who have gone big quick through taking gear makes me tempted but after reading threads like this makes me think twice.

I would imagine it's all to do with abuse rather than just 'using ASS'

There's a difference between doing a light course every once in a while and doing a hefty course of everything you can get your hands on.. Just like there's a difference between snorting a few lines/popping a pill or two at weekend and staying up for 3 days snorting and drinking :/

dont particularly care...to me steroids are something the dangers etc should be thought about before there taken, afterwards just get on with it
