      Hi guys let me introduce myself a little, I'm 21 yo boy 130lb 5'8 BF~8 and to me is extremely difficult to gain weight, last year I made a gazillion tests to see If it has something to do with my body and such, but everything was OK.

      I went to see a nutritionist and gave me a diet plan consisting of 6-7 meals 3k-4k cals. a day after 1 week eating that much all I gain was 1lb, he couldnt believe it and I was sick of eating that amount he told me that I have a fast metabolism bla bla bla... so I quit.

      I have practiced football almost all my life, but now that Im Uni I stopped.

      But this year I want to change that so here are my questions.

      what can I do to gain weight and bulk up a little?
      should I restart the 3-4k calories a day again and see where it takes me?
      Join a gym and start lifting small weights?
      buy a weight gainer?

      I'd like to gain ~20lbs in 3-6months, is it possible?

      Feel free to ask me any question that might be important to reach my goal

      Keep increasing how much you eat until you start to slowly gain weight. Eat high fat foods to get in easy calories. Adding canola oil to shakes helps a lot as it doesn't affect the taste, and adds a bit of richness to it IMO.

      20 pounds in half a year will not happen. Aim for about 8-10 pounds in that time frame instead, and understand only a portion of that will be lean mass.

      Eat more is correct, "stop being so active" is stupid advice.

      Obviously he isn't going to eat more to compensate for his activity level as he's tried that before and failed.

      Brb I run 20km a day but I can't lose weight, why?

      You just said you gained weight eating those calories then stopped. Now you ask how you can gain weight?

      I started with pretty much the same stats as you, you just have to keep eating bro, i know it's a cliche "oh your doing it wrong, you need to eat to the point of throwing up, then eat more" It's absolutely true, just eat as much as you can.

      20lb's in 3-6months is not going to happen. You need to set some realistic goals bro. Good luck

      I honestly felt like I was going to EXPLODE by the end of those weeks lol.. that's why I stopped..

      If you want to gain weight, man up and just do it. You will get used to the amount of food in no time.
