so im going on a cut, after bulking for a long time.

i'm aiming for a 400-500 calorie deficit, and i was wondering if these macros are correct

180lb 6'1, 22 year old, dont know my body fat %, but im definitely not super lean or extremely overweight:

      180g Protein
      351g Carb
      75g Fat

i tend to favor foods that have higher fat contents, is it possible to reduce carb intake and increase fat intake in its place?

      thanks to all advice (reps)

      macros meet sufficiency
there will be no problem with you decreasing carbs for fat. carbs are nonessential and you can replace them with more fat and/or protein.

      Honestly? no.

i have been tracking my macros for months now, and my bulk was successful eating about 3400-3800 cals. so i'm somewhat assuming that eating at 2800 will allow me to lose weight, in a slow enough way that i wont lose muscle.

Okay, if it works and you've got a reasonable good estimate based on results go for it.

quick question off topic as well, idk if you or anyone knows but..

I've been training between 8-12 reps when bulking, and seen good results. lyle mcdonald explains that 5-8 repitions while cutting is the best way to maintain lean body mass.

so i was wondering, if i was training in 8-12, should i increase intensity and move to 5-8 reptitions, or should i just keep what i bulked with.
