In stationary position I let off the brake pedal and can hear a prolonged creeping noise coming from the front. Also under hard breaking the car pulls to the left slightly. I have new brembo discs and pad last december so I am think it's a sticky/seized caliper?
Car experts, I need help? What car? Sticky caliper sounds about right. Posibly alignment if it's dragging.
Car experts, I need help? After a journey does your wheel feel excessively hot? Can you smell a burning clutch type smell when driving. Sounds like a sticking caliper. Mine did this the other week. I bled the caliper and freed the sticking piston by pushing it back with a g clamp a few times.
Car experts, I need help? EP3 civic type R. What to you mean regarding alignment? What cause would effect that?
Car experts, I need help? Can't smell anything but it's an intermittent problem as its first not always make the creeping noise when letting the foot brake off, 50/50 weather it will do it but the problem is getting worse...
Car experts, I need help? as in creaking while lightly on brakes? if yes then its normal. if its pulling to the left then id be checking the right side caliper is engaging properly
Car experts, I need help? You might have warped the disc if the caliper was sticking. Dismantle the caliper and clean it thoroughly with brake cleaner its not a difficult job but does take a while and the bolts/nuts could be tight. Diy will save a lot of money..parts are cheap nowadays from ebay..get a small tube of copper grease too.
Car experts, I need help? The only creaking I hear is if I'm stationary (foot brake pressed) and the noise appears when I let off the foot brake...
