Can you do much with £2k?

I am saving up for a car which i will buy in about 4 months time but i will have £2k saved up this month for it. Is there anything you could do with £2k for a small investment or something or is a 3-4 months investment not possible?

Just think £2k in the bank account is doing nothing. I know its not much money but wondering if there is anything to help increase it a little.

Not a great deal in that timescale.

Only way to make good money short term on that is to find a promisng share thats due for some big news... but thats as risky as putting it on a horse lol!

Buy premium bonds with it. you might win a few quid you might not but you won't lose anything at the end of it and it's free to buy and free to get your money back.

this is prob the best you can do mate.

or put it in an isa and offeset against your mortgage, you wont make any money but you will save more on your mortgate that you would gain through interest. perhaps..... im not sure of the timescale of these things lol

Good shout that mate! I looked into bonds and the odds of you getting any money are about 4-5x higher than you chances of winning on the lottery!
