      How can you tell if your gaining fat or muscle while bulking'/ ?

      Bulk it up, you will gain muscle and some fat, it happens. Get big, then in a year or two when you have some size and are a bit more mature physically, I'd start a slow cut.

      Based on your profile picture, your height, your weight and your age, I'd urge you to bulk.

      You will gain both. Eat at a 10-20% surplus and lift heavy.
