Hi all! I can not deal with one question about the bike. Is it possible to say that the bicycle contributes to the training of the muscles of the legs and no other muscles are involved when riding? It turns out that the effect of cardio is achieved due to the fact that leg exercises burn the most calories?
I saw this on Google and thought you might be interested:- "Regular cycling stimulates and improves your heart, lungs and circulation, reducing your risk of cardiovascular diseases. Cycling strengthens your heart muscles, lowers resting pulse and reduces blood fat levels."
Looks to me like it is mainly leg muscles which are exercised but there appears to be some good cardiovascular benefits. I had an exercise bike a few years ago which I used a lot - it certainly felt like it was doing me good for not just my legs. I was knackered after using it but listening to music allowed me to zone out and just keep going!
I have seen many people who use exercise bikes with toned legs but not much else happening in the top half of their body. How do they get their top half toned using an exercise bike? Is it a different stance? Or do they push from a different part of their body? Interested to know as I might be looking to get an exerciee bike in the new year.
