The best starter exercise is to choose a dumbbell weight you can lift between 12 to 15 times max as a healthy starter level to begin with the curl \u2013 you hold the dumbbell in each hand with your elbows to the side.<\/p>\n<p>Begin by curling up one arm and rotate your forearm until the forearm is vertical and faces the shoulder and return the lower position.
