Hey guys been a long while since ive been on here,

As im sure many of you are aware, I was arrested early one morning in May 2011 after defending myself when 3 males set about me on my way home from work on the doors.
I was originally arrested for 2 counts of GBH and one Common Assault.

There were many court hearings and much evidence given on my behalf that it was self defence along with the previous trial being thrown out and the judge equitting himself as he believed so strongly that i was innocent of the above charges.

Anyway this decision was appealed against by the CPS and was set for re trial in May just gone, I went to trial which lasted 3 days and was found guilty by the jury of 1 count of Wounding with intent to cause Grievous Bodily Harm (Section 18 GBH with Intent) The Common Assault and other Section 18 were dropped.

I have been told by my barrister that i should expect anywhere between 4 - 6 years custodial and should be out in 2 - 3. I was granted bail by the judge until sentencing in 2 weeks time where I expect to be taken away to Hull.

I just want to say a huge thanks to everyone who has supported me on here and given some great advice, the UK justice system is a complete joke and my barrister had words with the judge in his chambers before the trial in which the judge stated it was a case of self defense however his defendant (Me) had gone too far and became the aggressor.

I tried explaining in court that when 3 males approach you to harm you, you do everything in your power to get out of the situation and if that means fighting 3 people when there is no other option then that is what you have to do, but it didnt wash unfortunately as the jury were all stuck up their own a55 and about 60 odd years old each that had never even seen a fight let alone been in that situation!

Anyway thanks again guys, and ill speak to you all in the future if im not on for the next couple of weeks, got goodbyes to say to family etc!!

dont take the decision lightly and appeal it especially if the first case was thrown out youll have a much better chance
