      Never understood this. At my gym, EVERY teenager (14 and up) is like "Yeah, I'm a hard gainer. Super ectomorph."
      This is what gets on my nerves. Most teenagers my age assume their a hardgainer because they haven't put on 30 pounds of muscle in months or something.
      A lot of magazines have misinterpreted bodytypes, making teenagers assume that ectomorphs have to work super hard to put on weight while a mesomorph or endomorph puts on pounds of muscle each month.
      To end my rant, this whole morph **** is pointless anyway. I suppose it's good to know how to train for your body type but who cares if your an endo or a meso or an ecto? Just lift weights for crying out loud and stop whining because you don't have 16 inch arms when your 14.

      100% agree.

      Most teens that call themselves entomorphs aren't and even if someone is, your body type doesn't make it impossible to gain muscle.

      All it is, is trying to make excuses and make themselves feel better.

      Teenage gains are the best gains you'll ever make, everyone you hear is impatient and doesn't realize just how much hard work and time it takes.

      exactly my thoughts xD. I see so many threads of beginners asking about bodytypes. Why does it even matter what type of body? Just eat and lift...

      Half of them are kids that only eat at a maintenance, and with a diet consisting of diet soda and sour patch kids.

      Tell me about it. "I eat 3000 calories a day!".
      How much protein?
      "OH about 70 grams!"

      These youtube "fitness channels" have completely corrupted most teenagers minds, focusing 100% on calories. A lot of teenagers at my gym don't give carbs or protein a second thought. It's all about the calories. And they don't even eat good calories. Its **** like "I eat 2 cups of ice cream a day, because I'm a hard gainer and (fitness channel here) said an ectomorph can eat whatever he wants!"

      Hell no.

      I got a friend thats 5'11, 130, 7% bf, 6" wrists, diet of mcdonalds n kfc junk food. Hardgainers/ectomorphs do exist.
