      Hi Guys,

Just looking for some suggestions for a week holiday with my dad.

He's 54 this year, would love to take him away for his birthday. We haven't been abroad together in 20 years, and that was also his last holiday.

Being in the position now where I can pay, I would love to take him away. Mid to late July if possible.

I'd say budget of £1,000-£1,200 including spending money. As I have to pay for everything, he doesn't have his own money.

I was thinking somewhere like the nice side of Ibiza, Dubrovnik, South of France, I don't know?

I guess I would just like to spend some time with him, get him away for some nice weather, where we can relax, bond, go on a few trips, play some pool and eat some good food.

      Thanks a lot.

Also, his passport expired like 10 years ago. Is there anyway I could renew this without asking him, as I would need to pay for this too, and a surprise would be fantastic.

Hey Milky, I just got back from Turkey this morning.

I went to Olu Deniz which is nice, but I'm not sure if I would go back? I didn't like the food out there, and was ill, as posted in another thread.

Also, the holiday 20 years ago was when we were in Bodrum in Turkey. I could look at going back there again, but I've been to Turkey about 5 times now, so not sure if I want to go back?

One of the Greek islands. The best way to try and slash the price of any holiday is to rent an appartment rather than staying in a hotel.
