What kind of diet would you recommend for a beginner who wants to lose a fair amount of fat and bulk up with muscle. I am hoping that my new fitness regime (and diet) will also give me more energy.

What you eat is almost irrelevant I think. If you reduce your calorie intake and increase your exercise you should surely lose weight?

Now a days it's easy to lose weight and gain muscle naturally. First let me know what kind of method are you looking for? Do you want natural process or something like- pills, juice, supplements? If you want to follow naturally process then simply control yourself eating different kind of nutritious foods. Also you have to more careful about eating much. On the other hand, if want to use something like- tea for weight loss. This also effective someone recently used it and got the results. Now its totally depends on you which one will you follow. All the best.

The cleaner the diet the better, its best to avoid complex carbs and sugar, I have done an 8-week bulking cycle and kept my diet to the usual, lots of whole grain rice, chicken, beef, green veggies like broccoli spinach etc.

I think the biggest mistake is cutting back too much. If you want to gain muscle and burn fat stick with compound movements with free weights and avoid the machnes. I tend to keep my cardio sessions to no more than 20 minutes 3 times a week.

I just read an article on ripping - which sounds like hard work!

What kind of changes did you see over the 8 week period?

It is difficult to give an advice because I don`t know if you have an intolerance to any products. For example the options are: vegetable diet, keto diet, paleo diet.
