I have been following IIFYM for the past 2 months. I haven't changed weight nor body fat. I was at 13-14% thanks to keto/low carb. I've followed it properly as well - 1700 kcals, 160g P, 50-60g F, and 150g carbs. Didn't work so lowered all to about 1600kcals for a week or two and still didn't work. I agree with the principles of the diet( there's nothing to argue). But I don't think it's as black and white as people make it out on here. I'm an Endomorph, and I lost soo much fat on the Keto diet, compared to none of IIFYM/Balanced. Just chucking this out there, because I don't think dieting is as simple as everyone makes it out to be. I'm gonna try Carb Cycling now. Carbs will be 100g, 50g, 0g, 0g, 0g, 100g, 50g.... (With refeeds).

Unsuccessful IIFYM Cut! 1)endomorph isnt real 2) probs underestimating calories or a lot of labels and such have a 20% range so you're just getting screwed over 3) maybe your metabolism is just really low now
Unsuccessful IIFYM Cut! I literally can't eat any lower, I feel like I'm starving myself as it is. My TDEE is 2200, so subtracting 500 from that gives me 1700. I've stayed at 142lbs for about 2 months now, even when going into a bigger deficit. Makes no sense. I was eating more calories when doing Keto, and losing weight like crazy. Oh, and I use myfitnesspal to track macros and foods. It seems pretty reliable. Could it be that I literally have to go even lower? I really hope not.
Unsuccessful IIFYM Cut! If keto worked so brilliantly why did you switch to IIFYM in the first place and moreover why would you do carb cycling now vs. returning to keto. Makes no sense since you seem so confident in the efficacy of keto.
Unsuccessful IIFYM Cut! So you stayed at 142lbs eating 1700 cals a day for 2 months? No cheat days in the week? No beer on the weekend to go over cals? 1000% stayed within your defecit?
Unsuccessful IIFYM Cut! I got really run down with no carbs, so switched to IIFYM. At least carb cycling will provide me with some sort of carb on some days. Well, Im at uni, so I had two or three nights where I got fairly(very) drunk. But, those two/three nights should not have made that much of a difference in the overall scheme of 2 months.
Unsuccessful IIFYM Cut! Did you get takeaways? What was your day like sobering up afterwards? Binge? McDs? Counted? 200 calories in a pint if carling.. What was you drinking?
