Lets see how this discussion develops. One caveat: I do ask is that we all play nice in this sandbox. So no mud slinging at those that differ in opinion. After reading misc OV35 discussions, it has come to my attention that a lot of US over 35 think that a PM between members of the opposite sex is a bad four letter word. The hot button words were: secretive, infidelity, inappropriate and so on, but you get the picture and where I am going with it. My thing is that the connotation of it being a sinister act is complete bull**** of an assumption. For one this being a very open site where the individual has rather limited control of what things are displayed or not (a big pet peeve of mine but a topic for another day). But it does not mean that everything has to be out in the open and therefore some things have to go off screen. The floor is open, run with it.
To PM or not to PM? Welcome to the O35. Mud slinging is a hobby of choice around these parts (and others as well) edit: if the discussions get heated I have seen some people remark about moving to PM's but only to avoid everyone on this forum being involved in their convo.
To PM or not to PM? Please identify someone on the O35 who has suggested that PM's between members of the opposite sex are a bad thing. Identify someone who has actually suggested that and not someone that suggested something a little bit, sorta, kinda like it.
To PM or not to PM? I would just be wary of someone who won't post in the open forums at ALL, yet only Pms. No "infidelity" no "inappropriate" just wtf? I get and send plenty of Pms from both men and women. It's what would be INSIDE the Pms that would deem it inappropriate. But even a 2nd grader would know this. If I want a friend of mine here to have my phone number or address, I'm certainly not going to post it on the open forum Not to mention the noodz...
