Does anyone know where I can buy tinned tuna in oil that doesn't have added salt? I've just been looking on tesco and they all have added salt?

Why not buy it in spring water and add your own oil ( if you have to)

When I looked there wasn't any in spring water that didn't have salt.

If I could only get no salt with the spring water option then I'd go for that but if I could I've prefer the oil one.

Tuna will never be salt free, it does come from the ocean

Erm, that doesn't make any sense. When you eat raw tuna it's not salty.

I think there will always be a little salt in it, although there will be more in tuna in brine, as that's what brine is...salt water, but I noticed today, on the ingredients, with my tuna in spring water, it just says 'tuna, spring water' and on the tuna in brine label it says 'tuna, water and salt' so take from that what you will

(ps as you can see, Iv managed to get my sig up and running, cheers again for that)

But they have lived their entire lives in salt water so there will always be a salt content

I'm not fussed about a little bit of salt it's just that it's added in the tins that I've been buying and it's quite strong...and I don't think it's healthy to have that much salt.

Glad to see you got the sig sorted

A little bit doesn't bother me.

Cheers...I'll take a look. I know I've bought some before but now can't find it in Tesco (doing an oder at the moment you see).

After all that...I found it. It's one of the more expensive tins hence not seeing it! Apologies for my density...I some how missed it

Thanks for your input though guys
