      Over the weekend I will be weighing myself, calculating my BMI and adding to this journal so that I can track my (hoped) progress. I want to not only look fitter but feel fitter as excess weight and the issues this attracts can also effect your mental well being.

      According to this chart my BMI should be just over 25:-

      Bit of a shock today - work to be done!

      I bought myself a pair of scales so I could weigh myself. My stats shocked me:-

      Height: 1.675m
      Weight (kg): 101
      BMI: 36.2

      Apparently my healthy target weight is around 80kg! Once I got over the shock of how bloated my weight has become I am determined to do something about it. More to follow....

      Woke up very positive this morning - looking forward to a long walk with my dog, start of healthy eating kick and no late night snacks from now on :)

      All while I work on a exercise program I can start at home and then build on.

      First walk of the day - 3 miles with my dog :)

      Edit: Make that 5 miles, another walk with the dog of 2 miles. The dog wont know whats happening lol

      How long before weight loss kicks in with more exercise and a better diet?
