Hey guys, does nutrient timing matter? I mean, it doesn't matter when and what time you eat as long as you get your sufficient daily calories and protein intake right? The only time I care about nutrient timing is not eating carbs before bed. By nutrient timing, I mean taking your protein shake in that mythical "1 hour" window, or eating first thing in the morning to prevent "muscle loss".

      Your thoughts?

Meal timing is irrelevant. Just make sure you get your target number of calories in before you go to sleep.

yup for simplicities sake. It takes more than your 8 hours of sleep fasting to go catabolic don't overthink it. People on IF don't eat till later in the day and still make gains.

Sorry, taking a 1 shake one hour after a workout, and another person takes the shake 2 hours after a workout

Person A is not going to magically put on 15 pounds of extra lean muscle

get dat **** out of here

You don't have to rush home and take a shake immediately after your last set. There is some benefit to ingesting post workout nutrition obviously, but the myth "OMGZ GUTTA GET HOME AND DRINK MUH BROTEIN BEFORE 20 MINUTES OR I LOSE MY GAINS" is not true.
