She just keeps saying to me "Why are you always hungry" "Is it ok that you're eating a lot?" "You just ate lunch (couple of hours ago) should you be eating now?"

Because of her comments these past couple of days, I've only consumed 1200 calories today as I'm scared of actually eating anything without hearing the same things from her!

And anyway, my bulk calorie intake is 2580 calories which isn't really much is it so I don't know why she's doing this..

      /RantOver sorry guys.

Might I recommend buying your own food? I buy everything that I put into my body on my own and no one says a thing..

I don't think it's about money because my mum is not like that, I think it's because she's trying to lose weight so by seeing me eat more than her = instant resentment! I try to help her understand nutrition/the process of gaining muscle but she doesn't get it.

I get the impression that you're trying to eat every 2 or 3 hours, which isn't necessary. Many people don't make the connection between frequent meals and smaller meals, which is probably what your mother's concern is: that you're eating frequent large meals. If it bothers you, just consolidate some of your meals into a single larger meal. That way your eating habits will appear more "normal".

She's not the one who has to live with your eating and exercise choices. With that being said, ignore it. eat, lift, be happy.

Have you tried explaining why you're doing what you're doing?

I talked to my mom and now she actually helps me make sure I eat and eat well.

Age 18: Time to move out and grow up.

Either that, or DEAL with your mother and her comments. She's obviously your mom and is going to always be that way, it's just the way YOU interpret her comments OP.

Teenagers working out at home are supposed to get hassled by parents, it's just how it is. I never bothered much with my mom's comments. There's was no way she'd ever listen/learn, so I just carried on. Until your Mom starts forbidding you from eating just say heck I'm hungry and a growing boy and ignore.

Mine used to be either "Too much protein is bad for you" or "You're too thin".
