Hope this is in the right section as there are multiple questions in here... What do people who do heavy manual work do in relation to training volume and diet? I've started a new job where there is quite a lot of lifting heavy studio / event equipment most of the day.... Do you find you have to work less in the gym to maximize gains, or tweak your training in some way?* And also, seeing as you'd be burning a lot more calories do you have to compensate with additional food/protein intake?* I'm actually tempted to whack in some extra test, a lot more calories and simply see how things go! Would this be a good idea?....
Manual work & Training I do a manual job mate and l just try to keep consistent with diet and training regardless of what l do at work.
Manual work & Training Cheers guys, I'll be upping my diet then I think. I will make a journal pretty soon too.
Manual work & Training My job is literally to carry boulders as work as stonemason from 7.30am till 5.00pm back is always completely mashed lol still manage to get my heavy deadlifts and squats in with the help of HUGE calorie intake
Manual work & Training I do heavy lifting but ALOT of walking at work as I work as a landscaper it's a pain the **** mate I'm constantly hungry
Manual work & Training Manual job too, lots of bending and twisting at the end of a production line, crating milk bottles for 10 hours. I just eat more to compensate but my back does suffer to be honest and definately interfers with my deadlifts. Deca helps haha
Manual work & Training I tend to be as idle as possible at work however digging holes all day or holding 20kg hedge cutters and big chainsaw is hard to shy away from..
