I know there is much bogus information out there regarding how much body fat we can burn in a single week, and much of it supports the 1 pound a week theory for optimal health. Has anyone burnt more than that 1 pound while cutting?

Go into more of a deficit.

It depends on how fat you are to begin with.

Competely different at 275lbs than 175lbs.

Yes, I've burned 10lbs of fat in a week on DNP.

Being the lard ass that I am at this particular time, I get frustrated at 1 lb a week. I shoot for at least 2 preferably 3lbs at the moment. Gotta pay the piper for the last 3 years of laziness.

Do you know the science behind DNP, in layman's terms? I'm curious as to how it works

In simplest terms, its a strong thermogenic that can substantially increase ones body temperature, as well as increase their metabolism by up to 35-50%. (ECA increases metabolism by about 5%, while cytomel+clen increases metabolic rate by up to 10%). One will note a definitive increase in heat after carbohydrate consumption, or any atp, including creatine. I'm not going to get into telling you how to run it. Though I will say a large arsenal of support supplements are necessary for a full (2-3wk) and safe cycle.

It was once used to mark mines and used as a mild explosive. Later in the 1920's and 1930's it was widely marketed across the US as a miracle weight loss supplement. Today, it is mostly used in paint thinner and pesticides.

My current short-term goal is to be able to see my top row of abs. Yeah, there's a whole layer of body fat covering them!
I hear it's about 12% BF to see the top row?

Sounds like the risks far outweigh the gains from it, imo.

Not true, on DNP your core body temperature should stay within normal, healthy ranges. If it goes over you need to come off.
Also not true. I'm taking nothing with my cycle, not even a multi, and there is no reason support supps are necessary. 20lbs in 15 days hurr.
