My normal gym has shut for four months and I joined pure as it was cheap and had all the equipment I was looking for...apart from enough plates. If I do a full heavy set of squats there isn't enough plates to max me out. There are bigger and stronger boys than me too.

Anyone else found this problem at pure gym? I've tried writing to management etc. but they said all pure gyms must have the same number of plates.

No offence mate but what were you expecting for 16.99 a month! its a budget gym afterall.

Just gonna have to get a couple of lads to hang off either end of the barbell to up the weight

what so hole gyms got less then say 200kg in plates. (guessing) you squat less then this anyway.

Normal PL squats. Was squatting 240, but have only managed to get 180kg on the bar at pure as there's normally a night club sized que for everything.

Your right at £16.99 I can't argue but if they just got in a few more plates it would be a half decent gym.

Pretty much I counted 220 ish a few days ago. Apparently some plates are away for "repair" and don't seem to be coming back.
