Hey all, just placed an order with my butcher to pick up later in the week 72 chicken breasts, 30 pork steaks trimmed, 3 x 1kg leg joints, 4lbs of lean beef mince, 3 full racks of ribs, some black pudding and a couple of pounds if sausages....and 8 minted lamb skewers. Think im going to need a chest freezer soon! What kind of meats and volumes do you buy in? As and when you need it or do yoi prefer a bulk shop?
I went to the butchers and I bought.... £130 mate. There's 4 Gannon steaks as well I forgot lol. Prefer buying and bagging meat portions in one go then just pick up fresh veg when I need it in the week
I went to the butchers and I bought.... I used to always buy my meat at the supermarket until I worked it all out and the butchers just works out so much better value. I think meat prices vary a lot across the country as the same rack of ribs costs £8 or 9 with the butchers in London where as if they make it down to Cardiff I can buy them for a fiver. It's usually 6 breasts for a fiver. I don't buy my meat anywhere else
