I effed up today. I went around 200 calories above my caloric goal(1790). My question is, since today is my rest day, can I do cardio to burn off the 200 calories or does the 1790caloric goal to lose weight count for the normal exercises I already do? I feel horrible going over but can I do 30 minutes of cardio to counter act those 200 calories extra?

You're heading towards and eating disorder, assuming you don't have one already.

Honestly, it's one day and I wouldn't sweat it. Think big picture.

Get back on your diet tomorrow...all good.

cardio isn't meant to be a countermeasure for overeating, you ate too much, now wait til tomorrow and try again. /thread

Luckily for you, the body needs to be in a consistent state of caloric deficit to lose. So, eat 200 less calories tomorrow or the next day. Or just say eff it since you're probably still in a deficit at 1990 calories. Or just say eff it since, you'll likely still be in a deficit (but 200 calories higher) at the end of the week.

He didn't overeat. He's a 17 year old male who is consuming under 1,800 calories per day. It seems likely that he is under-eating.

But tomorrow is my "refeed" day that I've planned for so long.

So the cardio wouldn't mean sh*t?

      Btw I'm cutting thats why.

Yes you could techinically do cardio to burn it off.

BUT ITS 200 GODDAMN CALORIES, STOP FRETTING OVER IT.
