Disregard the title, just wanted you to GTFIH.

I'm not understanding how they are keeping their muscle while starving themselves every sunday. The body does not want muscle because its hard to maintain (caloric-wise) so what prevents their body from just burning the muscle.?

Intermittent Fasting seems like backwash to me. Honestly, on a bulk at my height I'd need around 2500 calories. How am I going to fit that in an 8 hour eating period?

Also if what the Hodge Twins say is true that they are not going above 9% bf on a bulk.. how are they going to possibly gain any weight?

If someone could clarify this IF thing to me I'd appreciate it. Personally I am going to stay away from it for now.

intermitted fasting is a diet that proves that meal timing/frequency aren't really relevant for your average gym goers; IF allows you to not have to worry so much about eating, and allows u to do other stuff by fasting for x amount of time, followed by refeeds for x hours; checkout www.leangains.com for more on different IF styles

      Whats there to clarify m8?

You eat in a window every day, my window is 6 hours long from 4-10. the rest of the time your body is fasting so it gets energy from your stored fat, so essentially the only thing you are changing is eating in a certain amount of time instead of all day.

this. they get the calories needed to maintain their muscle ; the only thing different is they don't do the eight small meals. they don't start eating until twelve or one and stop eating at five or six, getting all the calories they need in that six hour eating window. don't knock it 'till you try it.

Starving themselves? LOL! Watch there video again they clearly say on IF "you don't starve yourself" you choose an hour window and eat all your meal in the window. Meal frequency is irrelevant

And what happens when they start bulking again? Their bodies are not going to retain their muscle mass because its too busy trying to repair itself in a 16 hour starvation period. It takes more than 16 hours for muscle to rebuild itself.
