      Just recieved over £450 tax rebate, Ended up getting taxed to hell on overtime I did last month and somehow Ive managed to get it back....

      Made my week (and weekend)

      Love little surprises like this! but sad that money can produce a cheshire cat grin....

      A) buy the watch ive been after
      B) Save another 400 and go to Gran Canaria for 7 days..!

      How did you get it back? I'm owed 80 quid tax back that I still need to claim. I hear it takes ages though

      Why not do what most on here would?

      Spend half on gear then use the rest to act like a bigshot for a night and pi$$ it up against the wall.

      It sounds like you are self assessment? You will get that back at the end of the year (April)

      Because im on a payroll (PAYE - Pay as you earn) depending on earnings of that week/month its all done automatically and added onto your next paycheque if you have overpaid or underpaid.. if overpaid extra on your paycheque if due more due to increased earnings they take extra off! and it fluxes up and down through the year.

      Then usually at the end of the tax year if you are owe them or they owe you, you get a lump sum, or have to send a cheque!

      Well done mate - not often you get anything back form the tax office! £450 can get you a nice break somewhere.

      Nice one and second that, that you dont often get anything back, usually them taking more lol

      Nice one! I'm just waiting on compensation from BT for loss of phone and internet service. They've agreed to 6 days compensation! They haven't asked how much we charge at work yet or how many people work here!!
