Last night I went out and got hammered. Well more to the point I left the house at 2 and am unsure when I came back, but now I feel like somebody sh*t down my troat and put my head in a washing machine. Today I was supposed to train and I really want to go. How beneficial is it to go to the gym hungover and have a half ass session? Is it better to just write it off and have a rest day?

I always train hungover on the weekends. Normally results in me throwing up. Dosnt really bother me as I dont have to clean it up.

For me the gym is probably the best way to get rid of a hangover, nearly always works

I cant do it personally. I'd rather smash the gym on the day I go out drinking then have a rest day.

I decided to train once with a hangover, it was a golds gym, Orlando.

Never again, thought my head was going. To explode

If you're contemplating going to the gym then clearly you didn't drink enough last night.

Seriously though your immune system is already battered so why further suppress it? You'll probably go gym, hit a few sets, catch a cold/flu/virus and might be out of action for a week or two instead of just the day. If anything maybe some light cardio would be better.

I've tried training numerous times after big nights out and always walk out half way through because I'm not putting my heart into it.
Waste of time, take a rest day!
