      So really considering leaving my current gym as its the total sh!ts and getting worse. Any recommendations for gyms in central bristol? I know of one close by which is one of the gym group gyms. Anyone got any experience with this gym

      You mean the "the gym" in broadmead area? I've had a quick look in and it looks really nice. Big too. Mine is walking distance from my current house though (Gloucester Rd / Filton Avenue) so seems silly to change even though it's a bit poo.

      Having the pool is a massive plus though.

      There's one on Gloucester road called Risk which is apparently full of meatheads if that's what you're after.

      Try St Pauls, it's a nice area of brizzel, very welcoming!

      it's a pretty hardcore spit and saw dust type of gym, not very modern but good atmosphere and everything a growing lad could need...I haven't trained there in a while though so not sure if it's still the same

      yeh my mate mentioned that one. alot of power lifters and hardcore BBers apparently. Yeh the gym group one by cabot looks like its kitted out but whats the crowd like

      if you can get to kingswood i would say go to the ministry of fitness, it's where i train now. owned by tinytom

      From what I saw it's a bit T shirt warrior friendly. Some big guys in there though. I'm at the everyone active up in Horfield which is average at best, but it's cheap and like I said the pool is a massive plus as it's free for gym members.

      EDIT: Equipment is brand new too.
