Hi guys i havnt been on here for a little while.

Basically i started going to the gym and for the first couple of weeks i really got into it. I was eating healthy and i was looking forward to going to the gym. Then after that i missed a session as i woke up felt too tired then didnt bother going again. I havnt been for about 3 weeks now. Its not that i dont like the gym or the training its just i feel its not the right training for me at the moment.

Well im overweight by quite alot and when i started at the gym i lost 2 stone but i couldnt tell any difference to my size(blubber) but now i havnt been going i have put back on 1 stone And to be honest i feel rubbish about it.

I really want to bulk myself up but im thinking that maybe its best just to do cardio to get my weight down to an acceptable level and start eating healthy again.

Sorry for the rambling i just need to decide what i need to do and hopefully advice from you guys will steer me in the right direction thanks Thomas

Simple answer is eat properly again, lift weights and do cardio on rest days and after lifting.

Thanks i was doing the cardio before the weights but not after.
Would free weights be better as all i did was the machines?

Sound advice from Uriel - he does speak sense. If his advice was a bag of crisps they would be Real Mccoys - Man advice.

But be sensible, set realistic but testing goals, document your progress, it's a real long one and remember you see your body every day it's hard to see your own progress. Sometimes I think "why the **** mad I lifting heavier weight but not gaining size?" bump in to a mate and they comment on the gains. Sometimes you won't always see it!
